The Shearer’s Lodgings offers unique accommodation for two adults and is also ideal for large group bookings and families. With the perfect combination of classical style and contemporary comforts, each of the 7 ensuite rooms has access to a fully equipped modern kitchen and lodge room with stone fireplace. There is a family room available with bunk bed accommodation for children.

The Shearers Lodge overlooks the Wellingrove Creek with views to the quaint Matheson Uniting Church located at the corner of the property and views down the picturesque Matheson Valley. Guests can try many outdoor activities including bushwalking with walking maps and distance guidelines over the property so you can plan your trip or perhaps sapphire fossicking, trout and cod fishing in season, swimming in the tranquil surrounds of the Wellingrove Creek and many other activities that may be happening on the property during your stay.

The original quaint Schoolhouse has been converted into luxury accommodation for two people. The Schoolhouse overlooks the homestead gardens offering privacy and seclusion for a romantic stay.

The traditional 3 bedroom workers cottage is suited for couple or family stays and is fitted with comfortable appointments. The cottage is fully self-contained and enjoys privacy and views over the Matheson Valley, a perfect retreat for up to 6 people.

    Drive – from Glen Innes, take the Gwydir Hwy 18kms west towards Inverell. Turn right onto Waterloo Road and travel .7 kms (all signposted).
    Drive – from Inverell, take the Gywdir Hwy 50kms east. Turn left onto Waterloo Road and travel .7kms.
    Fly – Daily flights from Sydney with Qantas Link and Regional Express to Armidale.
    Fly – Daily flights from Brisbane with Fly Corporate.
